Norway travel to Porto on the back of two straight defeats, with a furious captain and an entire squad who have been talking about Bernardo Silva for a week.
Kick-off is at 20.45, live on TV 2.
“It's football, my friend”
It was stoppage time at Ullevaal and the ball was long gone when Silva clattered into Martin Ødegaard. The captain limped out of the stadium, Portugal won 2–1, and on his way out Silva answered Nettavisen with four words: “It's football, my friend.”
Ødegaard called him a dirty player when speaking to TV 2. Leo Østigård thought the response was ridiculous. A week later, Brede Hangeland told NRK he had not forgotten it, and Patrick Berg admitted it could add a little fuel to the fire.
Portugal are laughing it off. Bruno Fernandes said before the match that he was not worried, and Jorge Jesus claimed he had not seen anything at all.
One win in twelve attempts
History is not on Norway's side: one win in twelve matches against Portugal, back in 2010, and just six Norwegian goals in total. On Thursday, the team lost 2–1 to Wales, Haaland looked tired after three games in nine days, and Torbjørn Heggem is suspended tonight.
But the odds are not about winning. Haaland has scored three goals in three Nations League matches, and Portugal have conceded three goals in their last two games – at Ullevaal and against Denmark.
